All facets of life have been modified or adapted to meet safety guidelines and to be cautious in relation to the Coronavirus. We know these changes have brought challenges. However, we know each time a challenge is present, an opportunity is evident.
Churches across the world and churches in our region have had to develop ways to continue with The Great Commission. One way we have found to continue sharing The Good News is through the Community Food Delivery effort which is scheduled the 4th Saturday of each month (8-10 AM tentatively). The Saturday delivery date may be altered in the event of schedule conflicts, etc.
This past Saturday, the following members of our congregation assisting in the delivery of forty-eight bags of food and approximately sixty Bibles: Frankie McCoy, Todd Childress, Brittany Childress, Scott Bradford, Tarry Lockett, Larry Glass, Nancy Brown, Roger Cline, Nancy Cline, Asa Jones, Glenn Pritchard, Jason Cline, and Patrick Wright.
Many times, we have said, “I wish we could do more evangelism in our community.” This is a great opportunity to feed people physically (Matthew 25:35-40) and this is an opportunity to feed people spiritually (Luke 19:10). This is an opportunity to help others overcome challenges. Will you deliver food and share Jesus?
