Pontius Pilate presided over the trial of Jesus and ordered His execution. Pilate, multiple times, stated he could not find our Lord guilty of anything! (John 18:38, John 19:6).
Jesus was found innocent, but Pilate was pressured to persecute Jesus. Pilate’s wife even sent him a warning in Matthew 27:19 not to kill this just Man. Pilate had the facts, Christ was innocent and was even warned by his spouse not to kill Jesus Christ! Did Pilate consider the facts and warnings?
Here are a few facts about alcohol. Alcohol is involved in:

41% of assaults
50% of rapes 60% of sex crimes against children
56% of fights & assaults in homes
37% of suicides
55% of all arrests
50% of all traffic accidents
#1 killer of people age 25 and under
#3 killer in America for all ages (Rushmore, 13).
Proverbs 23:31-32 tells us, “Do not look on the wine when it is red, when it sparkles in the cup, when it swirls around smoothly; at the last it bites like a serpent, and stings like a viper.” Our society says, “Drinking alcohol is my choice and it is legal.” What is legal is not always right. Paul reminded the Corinthians (1:12), “All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.
The facts & warnings about alcohol are clear. Like Pilate, you have the facts and warnings in front of you? Will you give in to societal pressure like him or listen to God’s warnings & abstain from alcohol?
