n John 1:43-51, we read of Philip excitedly telling Nathanael that he had met the Messiah. He said, “We have found Him of whom Moses in the Law and also the prophets wrote, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph” (Jn. 1:45). Nathanael remained skeptical and apparently unimpressed. He sarcastically asked, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” (Jn. 1:46). To this, Philip succinctly yet profoundly stated, “Come and see!”
Come and see for yourself! This is our plea for all skeptics, doubters, seekers, and questioners of every type. Come and meet Jesus!
Once you finally meet Jesus, everything changes. To know, love, and obey Jesus the Christ is to live a radically new life of purpose, fulfillment, and assurance.
Use this opportunity to invite friends, family, and neighbors to our Gospel Meeting with Matt Cook. Tell the people you know and love to “Come and see!”
It is a pretty safe guess to say that you know someone who is struggling with how to best navigate their lives in this ever-changing culture. We will spend the week studying Scripture and determining the very best way to honor the Lord and to navigate this strange and sinful world.
Come and see!
