Camp week is almost here! Speaking for our three boys, the first day of camp can’t get here soon enough. They are really excited. While I am uncertain if all the adults share the same level of enthusiasm, I am certain about this: extreme effort is being put forth to make the week great! Numerous are the names of people who already have logged many hours of hard work. All of the planning, preparation, and work will soon translate into a fantastic week for young and “old” alike.
I am reminded of a statement Jacob made in Genesis 32:2 upon seeing the angels of God: “This is God’s camp!” For us, what will need to be done so that we might call our special week God’s Camp?
Growing in grace and knowledge of the truth as it is taught (2 Pet. 3:18). Treating all involved with love and respect (Rom. 12:10). Meeting new people and making sure nobody is left out (James 2:1). On we could go…what would you add to the list?
