We know that our heart can “break” emotionally due to loss of life, watching someone lead a life away from Christ, dealing with failing health, tragedy and trauma, the loss of a job (income), severed relationships, and absorbing hurtful words from someone we love. These situations and more cause one to grieve.
Grief affects a person with their whole being: emotionally, physically, mentally & spiritually. A Grief Seminar has been planned so we can learn more about grief & how to better assist those around us. This free seminar has been planned for Saturday, March 28th & Sunday, March 29th here at South Green St. We are blessed to have brothers Ron and Don Williams with us to present this valuable information. The schedule and topics are as follows:
Saturday (8-2:30): Grief tract: Why People Grieve and Mourn Differently, Greif and the Dimensions of Job Loss, Grief and the Differences of Sudden Versus Anticipated Loss, What to Say, What Not To Say, and What Does Your Grief Room Look Like? Dementia tract: Dementia 101: What Is It? Dementia and the World of the Caregiver, Dementia and Grief: The Long Goodbye, Dementia: Diagnosis and Treatment, Dementia & Self-Preservation.
