We will give thanks for blessings this week. This week may be a challenging time despite our blessings. We all are missing our loved ones. Some of us have challenges with our health as we wait on the next step of treatment or as we plan how we can improve our health. Financial challenges continue to loom month to month. Our challenges are just as varied & numerable as blessings. As we battle daily, we can be thankful for Heaven because:
• Heaven is real: Hebrews 11:16 says But now they desire a better, that is a heavenly country. Therefore, God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them.
• Heaven is a place of rest: Hebrews 4:9-11 says There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His. Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience.
• Heaven is a place of righteous inhabitants: Revelation 21:3 says And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God.
• Heaven will last forever: Romans 6:23 says For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Being thankful for Heaven is our greatest blessing!
