Let’s add another tool to your toolbox…
Our words can enrage or encourage. Our words matter! God, in His wisdom, saw that words are the mode for which humanity would learn about the relationship He desires to have with us. Romans 10:17 says, “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” As Christians, we know our order is to embrace, follow, and carry out The Great Commission (Matthew 28:16-20). As Christians, we can take advantage of tools God has permitted us develop to expand the borders of His Kingdom (over the years-pen & paper, telephone, vehicles, television, the internet, computers, and technology in general).
Part of the growth of technology as a tool for spreading the Gospel is the advent of the “podcast.” A podcast is simply a recording of people talking about a topic/subject that is listened to when the listener is ready (the podcast is not scheduled like a TV or radio program). The podcast can be located in a central place and can be accessed when the listener is ready to listen! Podcasts generally have a theme and are a series of installments for the follower to subscribe.
We are happy to announce our congregation has a podcast! The purpose of our podcast is to plant the seeds of the Gospel and invite the listener to participate in Bible discussions. Our Podcast is entitled “Soul Training.” Joe Prichard is our producer. Daniel Gaines and I collaborate on topics & discussions. The easiest way right now to follow our podcast is to go to anchor.fm/soultraining. You can also Google search “soul training podcast” and we are the first link that pops up.
