“Elijah was a man with a nature like ours…” (Jms. 5:17).
Elijah lived in a day and time that was evil. (1 Kings 16:30). Elijah experienced discouragement and feel
ings of hopelessness. (1 Kings 19:4). Elijah is also the man who overcame! He was escorted to heaven (2 Kings 2:11)! He spoke with the transfigured Jesus (Luke 9:30-31)!
Just for today…when you feel overwhelmed by evil influences…when you are weary and feel like giving up…remember Elijah. Then pray to your Father with confidence, knowing there is power! (Jms. 5:16-17)
