As we struggle to find ways to get through certain situations, difficult days, or challenging journeys, we must never lose focus on Heaven! The Apostle Paul tells us in I Corinthians 9:24-27 Do you know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown. Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air. But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified. Heaven Is Real, A Literal Place: John 14:1-2 says Let not your heart be troubled ; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s House are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you, I go to prepare a place for you.
Heaven Is A Place Of Rest For The Weary: Revelation 21:4 says And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.
Heaven Is A Place Of Righteous Inhabitants: Hebrews 5:8-9 says though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered. And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him.
Heaven Will Last Forever: I Thessalonians 4:17 says Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
The hurdles we face are challenging. As we run this race, let remember we have a real destination that will allow us comfort & protection if we obey & overcome through Christ that will last forevermore!
