“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” (2 Cor. 1:3-4)
How can we use our situation of suffering to God’s glory? !
When we are comforted in our times of pain and suffering, we are being trained and prepared to comfort
others in their time of need.
Be on the lookout for those who are suffering. Be sensitive to their needs, remembering how you felt— remembering the words and gestures that helped (and those that hurt). Let us have pain with a purpose!
