My favorite part of Bible class is getting to approach a new topic or concept each week. This weekly process equips me to be a better servant in God’s Kingdom (Ephesians 4:12-16). How can Bible class attendance, participation, and application create spiritual and numerical growth?
Bible class creates a work ethic! I Corinthians 15:58 says Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. Having an awareness of God’s expectations should motivate us to soak up the knowledge we obtain each week AND carry it the world. The results of this labor will bring results that last forever.
Bible class application proves our faith! James 2:18 says But someone will say, you have faith, and I have works. Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. Our faith is made strong by carrying out the directives of the Father. Bible class teaches us the skills we need and what it means to be faithful. We have faith because of what we have been taught while we teach & serve.
Bible class teaches us the mission of the church! The mission of the church is to be about our Father’s business (Luke 2:49). The mission of the school systems in our country is to prepare students for vocation & success. The learning process walks hand in hand with the application process. Bible class provides the knowledge, fulfilling God’s commands saves the lost.
My favorite part of Bible class is applying what we have learned so we may mature (I Peter 1:5-7). Applying what we learn creates spiritual & numerical growth (Luke 19:10). What is your favorite part of Bible Class?
