We are familiar with the time that Jesus said to Peter and the other apostles, “Who do you say that I am?” (Matt. 16:15). The proper response of course was: “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God” (Matt. 16:16). But what if we turned things around? What if we were to ask Christ, “Who do you say that I am?”
If I trust and obey Christ, if I’ve been washed in His blood, He would tell me that I have received mercy and that I am His treasured possession (1 Peter 2:9-10).
If I selfishly live in rebellion, He would tell me that I am a stranger to Him (Matt. 7:23).
Are you willing to ask: “Jesus, who am I?”
